Daniel Grant and Andy Kolb wanted to have the edit combining both, but we also thought it would be a good idea to have them separate.
The Wakeskate section was released today.

More About the “ECLIPSE PROJECT”

In 2016 I traveled around 12 countries, competing and filming with my wakeboard and wakeskate.
In between filming, with the idea to capture my travels and riding for a year end EDIT.

ECLIPSE is a summary of my season, a combination of competing and free riding. The edit was financially supported by Rip Curl and SPY Optics and further supported by Thai Wake-park, my home cable. The clips were collected by me, and then sent to Andy Kolb to put together the edit.

Half way through my 2016 season, a fellow Thai wake boarder, Mac Rosen had a freak accident while riding, resulting with him losing his leg. After that happened, I released this edit one week earlier on Vimeo Demand and we have premiers in around 20 countries to raise money for his road to recovery.

ECLIPSE was always intended to be a free view project, but in the week before release, we have managed to raise close to USD15,000.00 to help Mac with his recovery. The Vimeo on demand is still there, you can donate USD10.00 (100% after Vimeo fee’s goes to Mac) and you will also have access to 35 minutes of RAW files, plus by section in the 2014 Wakeboard movie THE DEBUT. Before this section was only possible on line, by purchasing it via iTunes.

So as I come to the end of the 2016 season, I want to thank everyone who has supported me (credits in the edit), and I look forward to another adventure in 2017.

2015 was by far my hardest season to date, but I am hugely proud of the final result and have to thank BT for his editing vision, Bear Karry for the tunes, and of course Rip Curl, helping with the financing of the project.
At the start of this year, I invested in camera equipment. I wanted to capture my riding from my own perspective, rather than riding for the cameraman.
The concept of Eclipse is to capture my riding where it is today, together with the events, wakepark and winch spots that get me pumped. This season I will have travelled to 12 countries two (Lithuania and Russia) being first time visits for me. We hope to capture all countries in the final edit.
This season included a lot of travel to Europe, with some rad events such as FISE, Munich Mash, Wake of Steel and Wake the Line. With Monster Energy pulling out of Wake this year, U.S events were less than usual but Jamboree and The Wakeskate Tour, remain major highlights of this season, for park riders.
I am stoked to have Andy Kolb as the producer for my edit. Andy is someone I have known, pretty much since the time I started riding. He was one of the very first to visit and support Thai Wakepark when it first opened. We have always had a lot of fun, whether on a film project, or riding.
The planned release date for the full version of ECLIPSE, is planned for 23rd December (my birthday), we hope to have premieres before this date, during the month of December. I hope you enjoy this teaser the Complete edit comes out December 23rd !
