]]> Arthur Castaing s’était envolé pour deux mois en Caroline du Nord et travailler comme opérateur sur le fameux park de Jibtopia.

En effet, dans le cadre de ses études en école d’ingénieur Arthurs est parti 2 mois en tant que stagiaire opérateur à Jibtopia Wake Park. Un park connu dans le monde entier qui a vu passer nombreux des meilleurs videurs mondiaux. Une bon moyen de s’ouvrir au monde du wakeboard international et perfectionner son anglais !

Pour commencer, peux-tu nous expliquer le lien entre ta formation et ton stage d’opérateur à Jibtopia ?

Alors, tout d’abord dans ma formation en fin de première année, nous devons choisir entre un stage en France dans une entreprise informatique ou un stage à l’étranger où l’on peut faire ce que l’on veut à la seule condition de parler anglais. Pratiquant le wakeboard depuis 4 ans, j’ai tout de suite essayé d’aller travailler dans un wakepark ! Afin de pouvoir améliorer mon ride et mon anglais.

Comment es-tu entré en contact avec les directeurs du park ?

Sur le site de Jibtopia, il y a une rubrique « become a Jibtopia team member » j’ai donc tout simplement répondu aux différentes questions et ensuite le gérant du park est entré en contact avec moi par mail.

As-tu rencontré des problèmes avant ou pendant ton voyage ?

Sur ce point-là, je n’ai pas à me plaindre, tout s’est passé exactement comme prévu. Pour mon premier voyage à l’étranger tout seul, je n’ai rencontré absolument zéro problème.

]]> Jibtopia Wake Park meant the start of a 9 day van trip for the STZ team. Team riders Wes Jacobsen, Quinn Silvernale, and Cole Vanthof threw all down weekend long, along with friends Blake Bishop, Justin Lee, Alex Hamrick, Wes Hubert and Joey.

Team skaters Jake Miller and Alejandro Depass also shredded up the mini pipe and street spots, keeping the stoke high. Big thanks to the crew for having us out.
