Now entering its third year, The Renovation is back with a final bang for 2016. Three teams and nine riders gathered at the Hip-Notics Wakepark in Turkey for a ten-day session. Their goal? To completely reorganize the park’s Unit Parktech features, create new lines, and then have an awesome time shredding them.

The people have voted in 4 categories, Best Setup, Best Line, Best Photo and Best Riding. It was a close race till the end and with only 100 votes advantage Team Jobe is taking home the win.

Team Humanoids riding performance throughout the whole week at the event was mind blowing. Mitch, Oli and Trevor were convincing with their consistency, Style and banger moves on all 6 unit-hacks and stacked their clips in no time. Check out their performance

The building process had Team Slingshot stoked to ride, but unfortunately in the first few hours they faced a new challenge as Antoine had a big crash and would be unable to continue riding that week. Steffen and Dylan had no choice but to step up and pick up the slack for Antoine who showed his support from shore while helping to film for the rest of the week. “Man I am so scared“, “Dude this whole thing is so challenging“ were a few of the quotes we overheard from Dominik, Julian and Sam at various times during our weeklong stay at Hip-Notics. Regardless, after team Jobe hit the water and laid down some warm up laps it quickly became obvious that we would witness some crazy tricks from each and rider rider. The team Jobe feature was also the home to several of the best bangers in the event. Show team Jobe your support and give them a vote on, Renovation….

All 9 riders had several photo shoots during our 10-days stay at Hip-Notics, Turkey. In cooperation with our photographers, Stefan Eigner and Lennart Ritscher, the riders Mitch Langfield (Humanoid), Dylan Miller (Slingshot) and Julian Cohen (Jobe) were able to produce some amazing shots on a never seen before setup. Out of hundreds of action shots, 3 stills got picked for the Best Photo voting. It’s now up to the public to vote for their favorite.

Team HUMANOID Oliver Breumlund

The stylish Oliver Breumlund was nominated to represent team Humanoid in the best line challenge after proving his consistency in the days prior. As fellow teammates Mitch Langfield and Trevor Bashir showed their support from the start dock, Oliver was able to link it all together with classic style and ease.

Getting shots on single features can be a challenge in itself, so to link together nine solid hits in one single lap brings about a whole new level of difficulty, especially when the course consists of nine completely unique obstacles. After twenty attempts and an entire nights rest, Dylan Diller found what he was looking for.

Even though he had no idea what the tricks are called, the contest approved Jobe rider Dominik Gührs nailed his lap after only a few tries. Watch Nik’s line and you will understand why we call him a “Contest- Machine“
