Nous avons grandi ensemble autour de passions communes : le skateboard et le snowboard. Depuis les rues de Clermont-Ferrand – d’où nous venons – jusqu’aux stations des Alpes, tous les prétextes étaient bons pour qu’on se retrouve ensemble autour d’une bonne session.

À l’époque, Jérémy exerçait en tant qu’architecte dans l’entreprise familiale mais aspirait à quelque chose de nouveau, plus en lien avec son mode vie et d’alimentation très responsable. Vincent venait tout juste de finir ses études de gestion et s’apprêtait à rentrer dans la vie active. Quant à moi, je travaillais au marketing chez Coca-Cola à Paris, loin des montagnes, loin des spots de kite…

Bref, nous aspirions tous à quelque chose de nouveau, qui nous ressemble et qui nous passionne. Les marques de skate et de snowboard ont toujours eu une importance particulière pour nous. Au-delà des vêtements, elles nous ont toujours beaucoup inspirés par leurs vidéos et par leurs riders.

C’est à ce moment-là que nous nous sommes dit : et pourquoi pas créer la nôtre ? Nous étions tous les 3 à une période de notre vie où nous avions besoin d’un nouveau challenge. Le pari était fou mais il fallait qu’on le tente ! À une condition, sur laquelle nous étions tous les trois d’accord : que la marque soit 100% engagée, éco-conçue et inscrite dans une démarche de développement durable. Nous étions plus que motivés, mais nous avions vraiment tout à apprendre : les matières textiles, la création d’entreprise, les usines de production, etc.
Bref, quelques semaines plus tard, nous prenions place dans nos premiers bureaux dans l’annexe d’un contrôle technique automobile ! Il fallait bien s’installer quelque part 😉 Et le nom de la marque dans tout ça ? Nous voulions un mot ou une expression qui puisse être compris au-delà des frontières, en anglais donc. Quelque chose de court, d’assez inspirant. Finalement c’est en regardant la vidéo de snowboard « Picture This » sortie en 2008 que nous avons choisi de garder le nom Picture. L’aventure était lancée…

Wakeboarding is a part of the Fise since the Beginning of this event 20 years ago in Palavas  for the fist one in 1997 , located at  15mn of Montpellier

After a few years around Montpellier The Fise find his right place in the heart of the City on the “LEZ” river  just in front of the State Building , the place to be for wakeboarding ….

One more time We’re not be disappointed by the Event  and it was not less than 50 pro riders who burn this place during One week .

FISE 2017 Wakeboard , What a final !!!!

Everyone was expecting him to win the twentieth edition of this FISE 2017, and everyone was right… From the trainings until this big final, Daniel Grant will have shown that this year, none could stop him !
Just behind him, the Australian Aaron Gunn almost went ahead of him, but the young Thai knew how to do one last run to make sure he would be victorious. At the third place, the Austrian Dominik Hernler, comes to complete an outstanding podium of riders !

More About The FISE 2017 : FISE.FR

For the last 20 years, the Festival International des Sports Extrêmes (FISE) in Montpellier has been a staple event in the action sports calendar. Often described as the event with the best vibe, the FISE gathers each year hundreds of international athletes and hundreds of thousands of fans in the heart of Montpellier.
The FISE is more than just an event: it’s over 25 competitions that bring together the most popular action sports: skateboard, BMX, mountain bike, wakeboard, inline skate, etc. Over the years, the contests gained international notoriety and have become staples of the action sport contest calendar.

In order to truly understand the enthusiasm the FISE creates amongst the extreme community, let’s go back to its very beginnings. It all started in 1997 when Hervé André-Benoit, then a Business student in Montpellier, was pondering over his end-of-year project, and decided to use his passion for action sports and create a solid project. He then organized the first ever FISE with very limited resources, attracting nonetheless 100 riders and 35 000 spectators over 3 days, in Palavas, France.

“I used to spend hours in my room, at my parent’s place, with a fax machine, trying to find sponsors”, the FISE founder remembers, amused (quote taken from an interview in the newspaper Le Monde). Starting in 2003, the FISE started to spread its wings on the international level, with editions in Dubai, Kuwait, Costa Rica, China, Malaysia, on top of developing a French tour, the FISE Xperience, that counts many dates throughout the year. The Monpellier event is still nowadays the epicenter of the phenomenon; the Festival now attracts over 500 000 people over the 5 days and arouses interest of prestigious sponsors. But one thing hasn’t and will never change: the vibe. The event is thought for the riders, and includes open competition formats for amateurs, juniors and women. The main goal of the FISE Association is to promote extreme and alternative sports and therefore, the event have never lost one very interesting aspect for spectators: they are free to attend.
