From September 12th to 16th, the eagerly anticipated fifth edition of Yardsale is set to unfold at Valdosta Wake Compound. With its impressive setup, the devoted community is buzzing with excitement for this event, already speculating on the mind-blowing rails that await us in this year’s edition. You can catch the event live on YouTube, running from Wednesday the 13th to Saturday the 16th, with each broadcast scheduled from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Central European Time. Copycatsclub, what is this ?

Copycatsclub :Connecting and inspiring female riders worldwide, the Copycatsclub pushes women’s wakeboarding to new heights and blazes a revolutionary path. How? What? Who? Where? Why? We took a film crew to the Valdosta Wake Compound with Alliance Wake to meet up with some club members and have them show everyone the answer to: “What’s the Copycatsclub?”
Their answers?

“It’s a magazine, it’s a movement, it’s a ‘girls’ gang’. It’s a website, it’s a board, it’s a club.”

FACT: OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS, THE COPYCATSCLUB HAS PUSHED WOMEN’S WAKEBOARDING FORWARD BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS.

Spearheaded by Slingshot team rider and women’s wakeboarding ambassador Sina Fuchs Jacobsen, the club’s only “requirement” for membership is a passion for the progression of women’s wakeboarding. While it’s still only in its infancy, the Copycatsclub has undoubtedly helped progress the sport around the globe and given female riders of all ages a new sense of inspiration and belonging. From winching in the streets to boosting in the

park, and even riding the liquid tabletops on lakes all over, these cats know no bounds and virtually always land on their feet. To say we like what we see is a complete understatement, which is why we approached Sina with the idea of creating a product line around the movement. To be clear, the Copycatsclub is far more than a board and or a pair of boots, and we are proud to be a part of it and thrilled to see the club grow and expand to inspire female riders everywhere.

A stylish goofy-footed snowboarder from North Carolina, Zeb Powell has a knack for melding classic style and modern amplitude.

It’s fitting that snowboarder Zeb Powell was born just a couple of weeks after the turn of the century on January 18, 2000. The stylish goofy foot has a knack for melding classic style with creative modern tricks. His signature blend of a super-smooth rail game with shifty spins and tweaked-out grabs has been turning heads at his local Carinthia Park for a few years now.

When he’s not busy training, competing full time on the Revolution tour and filming with Dylan Demers and the EAST crew, Zeb likes to skate, throw double gainers off cliffs, wakeboard and ride with his friends. “What I really love,” he says, “is flying through the air. So I really like anything that involves flipping and spinning.”

Ironically, the first time Zeb went snowboarding, he hated it. “I was with this really mean instructor who kept making me ride regular,” he explains. “When I finally went back with a friend I saw a little box below the lift. I hit that box on my very first run, stuck it and was totally hooked from then on.”

Since those early days at Cataloochee Ski Area, Zeb’s kept his focus on riding with creativity, flow and style. “I really look up to riders who inspire me to try out new things. I’m always hyped on riders with smooth style and gnarly tricks.”

What’s his five-year plan? “I definitely want to be filming a lot, I love how creative and free it is, but I also love the competitive side of snowboarding… who knows? I just really like being creative and smooth.”

Behind the scenes !

The requirements were clear. We needed a wakepark, a winch, waves and a good time.

And we wanted a film with some story that is fun to watch, entertaining and showcases some hand selected tricks of Felix Georgii, Dom Hernler, Parks Bonifay, Dylan Miller, James Windsor, Joe Battleday, Brenton Priestley, Cameron Graham & Tobias Michell.

Frankly, our trip wasn’t about throwing the hardest tricks at all times. It was also about enjoying ourselves and each other so that everyone could do what he loved most. Isn’t it interesting tho how different board sports influence different riding styles?

Well anyway, enjoy this wakeboard edit that comes with a little twist. With the help of Alan Watts this is our poem to watersports and the element of water itself. It’s about this unique sensation you get no matter if in, under or above the water. Enjoy life, enjoy watersports, try different stuff – we never stop learning. Get outside your head sometimes and be kind to each other.
