Le South wake park

Au milieu des vignes et sur le lac des Escaravatiers, le South Wake Park est un téléski nautique permettant la pratique des différents sports de glisse : wake board, ski nautique, knee board, wakeskate.

Bien plus qu’un lieu pour pratiquer un sport, le South Wake Park est un véritable concept! Vous pourrez y pratiquer le wakeboard, mais aussi vous détendre dans les différents espaces aménagés à cet effet, profiter des terrains de pétanque, beach volley, beach rugby, ou vous entraîner au mini skatepark. A moins que vous ne préfériez simplement boire un café dans un lieu convivial, agrémenté d’une jolie vue, en terrasse ou sur un transat…
Cette année, il y a du nouveau sur le lac: 4 nouveaux modules y ont été installés pour encore plus de sensations!
Sur place, vous trouverez également une boutique de vêtements et matériel de wakeboard, ainsi qu’un espace restauration: Le Kulp.
Le South Wake Park organise des évènements tout au long de la saison et accueille des compétitions de wakeboard et wakeskate.

More About Clément Deprémonville , “Frenchie”

 I grew up in the South of France, ten minutes away from the nearest cable park. I started Wakeskating when I was thirteen years old; at first it started off just every other weekend or so, and then eventually it was an everyday “Must have” . I became very captivated in every aspect of the sport, it completely consumed me. After one year of riding, I was convinced I was good enough to compete. Little did I know, I knew the sport better than I thought. 
        After I began competing, I realized I was simply living best of both worlds; I was doing the one thing I couldn’t go a day without thinking about and I was building a Career for myself. I had a lot of motivation and persistence to continue to progress, so I took it to “my next level” and went across seas. Once I arrived, I started my first WakeSkate Tour.It was then that things began to move a lot quicker than I expected, I started to travel the states finding any body of water to tear up. I was riding sometimes 10-12 hours in a day- just because I enjoyed it. Today, I am now still working my hardest in Wakeskating, there are endless possibilities in this industry; the world is my playground!
          I want to continue my career in Wakeskating for a lot of reasons, but first and foremost I want to inspire kids all around the world that watch my videos, to put down the video games and go outside to Wakeskate. I want to help show kids that anything is possible; you can become anything you want. The world lays at the end of your fingertips you just have to work to get to where you want to be. The only journey that is impossible is the one you never begin.

Le cable park

Ainsi ce groupement a donc versé 1,5 million d’euros dans le développement du projet. Le renouvellement à neuf du téléski a permis la création d’un cable park comprenant cinq pylônes d’une longueur de 676 mètres. Cette partie permet à tous les pratiquants de wakeboard de progresser selon leurs attentes avec les différents modules mis à disposition. De plus les débutants ne sont pas en reste avec un cable plus petit de 118 mètres de long. La vitesse est réduite pour aborder le wakeboard dans les meilleures conditions.

Ce cable park a pour but de permettre à tous de s’amuser. Avec la création d’un espace de jeux aquatiques, d’une passerelle, d’une terrasse flottante et d’un bâtiment d’accueil de 150m2, chacun s’y retrouve! Néanmoins les travaux sont encore en cours et toute la base de loisirs sera équipée au cours de l’année 2020.

Avec ce renouvellement du téléski, Toulouse Métropole espère augmenter l’affluence de sa base. Elle vise jusqu’à 25 000 usagers par saison contre 10 000 auparavant. Le tarif est aujourd’hui de 20€ par heure pour les particuliers. Ils vous attendent donc nombreux pour cette saison au Wam Park Toulouse Sesquières !
