Born and raised in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Rusty brings a unique skillset to the Nautique team with his passion and hardworking nature. His accolades in wakeboarding speak for themselves, but on top of what Rusty brings to the table on the water, his dedication to the sport off the water will reinforce his position as an extremely valuable asset for the Nautique brand as well.

What are the different functions of the controls?

• Power button to turn on/off.
• Plus and Minus buttons can be pressed to turn the volume up or tapped to switch to the next song or go back.
• Play/Pause button can be pressed to pause your music.

How do I know when the battery is low?

There is an LED light that starts off green on a full charge and moves from yellow to red as the battery declines. Red means you need to charge your vest (3 hours charge for 8hrs playback)

How do I charge the vest?

Each vest comes with a Micro USB charging cable. The charging port is located under the button flap next to your control buttons.

Is the vest loud enough to hear behind the boat or on a jetski?

Yes, the speakers sit a few inches from your ear, so your music can be heard loud and clear. Most product testers enjoyed their music at 70% maximum volume capacity.

David Trewern
Founder and CEO

David Trewern grew up in the coastal town of Merimbula NSW, Australia. He learnt to surf, windsurf and sail by age 10. In 1998 David was one of the first people in Australia to Kitesurf, and in 2005 David designed a board and broke the (GPS) Kitesurfing world speed record with a top speed of 48.5 knots (500m average speed of 44.8knots).

David business career started early, and over the past 21 years David has developed three successful businesses including Australia’s leading innovation agency DT (now AKQA – part of WPP). On exit of his third business, David moved with his family to Byron Bay.

Having spent many years racing on Hydrofoil kiteboards David identified the potential for powered flight; due to the amazing efficiency of hydrofoils. Fliteboard was born.

A few years later and David is combining decades of business, design, and software experience with his love for water sports and the ocean.
