Touch the Water : The new opus of the Russian wakeskate crew under the lens of Artem Hazov …

We just made an article of Artem few years ago this is what he said !

What comes to your mind first when you hear the word “Russia”?
Mr. Putin, vodka, bears? But these things don’t nearly define what Russia is.
To me, Russia is all about determination.

Today I want to pay tribute to the Russian daredevils, that got together to do the impossible.
Some people believe that thoughts are material, and that those who share the same passion will inevitably attract like-minded people.

This way, me as a videographer i came up with an idea to make a film about wakeskating. It was May 2019, wakeskating season was at its peak.
However, there was just one problem – you could count local wakeskaters on the fingers of one hand. Literally.So, what was next? The work on our scenario, search for sponsors and locations took longer than we expected.
Wakeskating season was heading towards its end since the water would soon freeze. Most wakeskaters usually go on training in some places warmer, but not the Russians.
ShoreLab. was looking for new wakeskate team and our guys took the call and ShoreLab. provided them with #JamTank winch. And then something unexpected happened

We were blessed with the warmest winter ever in the history of St Petersburg with monthly average temperature of +4C against the standard -15C. That was it.
They just got their wetsuits, their #JamTank winches and went on to find amazing spots to do the thing they’re best at.
Well, I guess the photos speak for themselves. Mind that the water temperature was just +3C!
For me, that was just another reminder that we’re not so different after all.
I believe now that if you’re passionate about what you’re doing, you’ll always find someone as crazy as you

Someone who would be willing to ride in freezing water and someone who’d be ready to capture it.

From an early age I had a keen interest in capturing elements of life for my older self. Overview

Welcome to Perth Wake Park

Perth Wake Park is the only cable wake board park in Western Australia.

It is conveniently located 30 minutes south of Perth City at the Mundijong Rd, Freeway exit.

The Park has a full size main cable, two beginner specific cables, a NEW bar, a café, pro shop, hire shop and a large veranda overlooking the action.

Bookings are not required to ride at the park during general opening hours. We run cable wakeboarding introduction sessions on our specific beginner systems and we have a Main Lake filled with obstacles for the advanced riders to enjoy.

We offer a range of different tickets to suit you, from hourly and daily tickets to full memberships to maximise your time on the water. Bring your own gear or just bring your board shorts or bikini, all the gear can be hired at the park and basic equipment is included in your ticket price. Filippo Chiarelli , only 17 years old …

Filippo Chiarelli is now 17 years old, start to “ride” on Orta lake as joke behind a cruising boat during the summer of 2014. From the next season he rode a bit in the local club but he is a student and don’t have a lot of budget for so he work a bit for at least do something because he saw that his skills were on another level compared to the other person, he was simply natural for him

The Shoots …

Went for a national and that little comp inspired him and decide to try as hard as possible to reach his best. He really do love the sport. He met Claudio Dal Lago, really good coach and owner of the SWS wake school in Abbadia Lariana (LC) on lake Como, he got the chance to move there, stay at Claudio place, help him at the club and get all the hours that he need. 2019 was the season where he prepare all basic technique and few mobes and 2020 definitely when he pop out with weekly trick.

We shoot this video to say give him a bit of visibility, this season he land 3 different doubles, got second in the Italian national really close to Lorenzo Soprani that is doing the Pro Tour, if not wrong he has 7 mobes 5 and 3 nine’s…let’s say that to be a perfect no one with only the O’Brian distributor that give him a board it’s not bad at all!

Cergy Wake Family : un crew, du bon ride, et du fun voila la recette du bonheur !

Cergy Wake Family 2020

La Cergy Wake Family a eu envie de rendre hommage aux différentes associations qui existent depuis plus de 20 ans sur le câble de Cergy. De grands noms du wakeboard sont passés par là, Jules Charraud, Marie Lehmann-Chanal, Carla Da Cruz, Laurent Peyrichou ou William Mahaut et d’autres y sont toujours comme Roman Styczen Matthieu Juillet et Charly Robert. Le câble a beaucoup évolué avec le temps, le spot comptait beaucoup de gros bloqueurs au début mais de nombreux modules plus modernes sont arrivés et la pratique s’est beaucoup diversifiée. La team de Cergy s’est chauffée pour faire venir le plus de riders possible le temps d’une soirée, entre anciens et minots, pour un moment de partage comme on les aime dans le wakeboard. C’est donc 3 générations de wakeboard qui ont répondu à l’appel pour cette soirée et produire de superbes images.

Le téléski nautique de CERGY

Que vous soyez débutant ou wakeboarder chevronné, lancez-vous à l’assaut du téléski nautique !

Tractés par un câble sur une boucle de 820 mètres à une vitesse de 30 km/h, 10 riders peuvent pratiquer simultanément wakeboard, ski nautique ou encore kneeboard.

Plusieurs modules de glisse (kicker, slider, fun box, ollie-box …) pimentent le parcours pour les plus audacieux et les plus friands d’adrénaline et de sensations.

Cette activité nautique est idéale pour les sorties entre amis, les enterrements de vie de célibataires ou les challenges entreprises. Des sessions encadrées sont proposées en soirée, avec une approche plus technique et pédagogique de l’activité.

Dans tous les cas, des sensations et des souvenirs inoubliables seront au rendez-vous!

Let’s make it official shall we, Dominik Gührs joins Team Hyperlite! Over the past few seasons we’ve been in talks with Dom and everything finally came together during this hectic year. Finding a bright spot is always awesome and this is definitely one of them. Dom is a 2 time World Champion and he won the first ever wakeboarding big air event, RedBull’s Rising High, which is a stand out win among many over his career. He began his wakeboard adventure 20 years ago and has been riding professionally for the past 10. In that time he’s become a legend in the cable scene and still has the fire to keep pushing himself and the sport. His home cable is Wasserskipark Aschheim in Munich, Germany but you can run into Dom at wake parks around the world. Already respected by and friends with fellow Hyperlite team riders we foresee lots of video projects coming to fruition and good vibes all around. Through his RedBull deal, Dom does many learn-to-ride days and clinics with the youth in our sport at cables all over Europe.
