FISE MONTPELLIER 2022 , posponed until 2023

 FISE Montpellier 2022 : Technical reasons force the Wakeboard contest to be postponed until 2023.Part of FISE Montpellier’s DNA since its earliest years, the Wakeboard contest unfortunately can not be maintained for the 2022 edition due to  River Lez safety restrictions.

 Fise Montpellier 2022 Postponed because of the Competition site .The Lez is constantly evolving and current water fluctuations have been more extensive than experienced in previous years. FISE organisers and expert authorities have been closely working together to find a way to maintain the contest that would guarantee a top level experience and ensure riders’s safety, however that has not been possible this year.

It is definitely not the end of the story for FISE and Wakeboarding. Solutions are already in process to enable the Wakeboard contest to take place at FISE Montpellier 2023.

Until then, riders and fans can look forward to a brand new event the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation 2 Tower Cable Wakeboard World Cup by FISE, taking place as part of the Urban Sports Festival Aarhus 2022 (USFA) Denmark, from September 2nd to 4th.

WHAT’S WKBND ?

WKBND (Wakebound) it’s OUTBND’s First-ever physical event. OUTBND’s Goal since the beginning was to create amazing experiences for its users: as a lifestyle+tech company, we believe running a physical competition is an amazing opportunity to create hybrid events and keep the community excited. What do we mean by Hybrid? Well WKBND is a Head to Head wakeboard competition, where athletes will compete to decide who’s the best athlete, BUT as they compete in the physical world they’ll have a digital contest through OUTBND’s challenge feature, where wakeboarders from all around the world will be the judges! We wanted WAKEBND to be “open” to everyone, which is why we have no age limit and we took out air tricks, which can sometimes be a barrier to entry. We wanted to create an event where people had to push behind the “boundaries” of their wakeboarding.

WHY TURIN WAKEPARK ?

Having to create an event like WKBND means having one of a kind wake park with features that allow athletes to really push their limits: No park in Italy does that better than Turin Wakepark, with among other features, the biggest (stationary) Snowramp in the World and an amazing wallride transition, both custom-built! But it’s never just about the race: it’s about people and the environment! We wanted to have a place where we could fully express the spirit of OUTBND and Turin Wakepark was the perfect spot to have a killer competition and entertain the community, allowing riders and spectators to enjoy the event at its best!

WHAT’S OUTBND?

OUTBND is the Social Network made by action sports lovers for action sports lovers. We allow Adrenaline Junkies to share their passion and compete with one another, while providing businesses a way to create a meaningful conversation with their clients. In a world governed by a “like model”, content becomes redundant and the need to go viral pushes people to literally follow trends or do crazy things. By using the platform, users will only see content within sports categories of their choosing, allowing them to spend less time looking for content and more time doing what they love. By creating the “challenge feature” we made it easier for people to share content around specific topics. This translates into more easily targeted interactions for businesses, who can use the same feature to run giveaways to sponsor their products or to embed the content of a challenge onto their website. COMPETITION FORMAT

  1. The competition will be features only: Air tricks will not be judged.
  2. Judges will evaluate the run based on technique, flow and style*.
  3. The qualification rounds will take place on Friday 10 September through“heats”. Number of participants per heat will vary based on the number ofsubscribers.
  4. The winners of the qualifications will move on to the finals, which will take place on Saturday 11 September, through “head to head”.

*Technique= How Clean is the landing and execution.

*Flow = Whether the trick it’s part of an ongoing line or if it’s stand alone.

*Style = We’re not looking only for clean tricks, we want them to be stylish!

COMPETITION CATEGORIES

  • ·  Male Category with 16 riders for the Final Day Saturday 11 September
  • ·  Female Category with 8 riders for the Final Day Saturday 11 SeptemberRiders of all ages will be accepted. For athletes that have less than 18 Years of Age a signed disclaimer by legal guardian will be required.CASH PRIZEThe cash prizes will be the same for both Male and Female Categories
  • ·  FIRST POSITION Cash price of 1500 euros
  • ·  SECOND POSITION Cash price of 1000 euros
  • ·  THIRD POSITION Cash price of 500 eurosAn extra 500 Euro Cash prize, as part of the Online Competition, through the OUTBND App.METHOD, TERMS AND REGISTRATION FEES

Registration open to all riders of Italian or foreign nationality with a maximum number of 24 female riders and 48 male riders.

EVENT SCHEDULE Friday 10 September

The riders Meeting will take place from 08:00 to 08:45. The competition will start at 09:00 and will end approximately at 19:00. The qualifications of the Female Category will take place first.

Saturday 11 September

The riders Meeting will take place from 10:00 to 10:45. The competition will start at 11:00 and will end approximately at 19:00. Award ceremonies and celebrations will take place approximately from 19:30 onwards.

Online (6-11 September)

The Online portion of the contest will be held online throughout the week preceding the event. Athletes will be expected to submit a post on OUTBND and ask their followers and Friends to vote. At 7PM of The Finals, the ranking will be shown and the winner will be announced..

The E-FISE Montpellier by HONOR is almost at the end of the qualifying phase with already more than 200,000 votes since the launch. The concept is simple, in each sport, amateurs and pros compete by posting videos on the E-FISE platform. The E-FISE Montpellier by HONOR is about to start, so it’s now time to get a look at the formats, schedule, categories and prizes for the Wakeboard Cable contest hosted by the event.

To participate in E-FISE montpellier by HONOR 2020 simply follow the 4 steps below!

STEP 1:SHOOT

CHOOSE YOUR CATEGORY I PICK YOUR SPOT I SHOOT YOUR VIDEO I EDIT
-Video: Must be max 60 seconds, opening credit included. Download the opening credit HERE.
-All other rules, format and tips for creating your video HERE.
-Music: If you wish to add music to your video you have access to the Universal Music Production Catalog. Only music selected from this catalog is valid to participate in the competition. Access the catalog HERE ( ID : music@e-fise.com mdp : fise2020 )

STEP 2 : SUBMIT

SIGN UP I UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO I WAIT FOR APPROVAL

Fill out the registration form and upload your video online at
https://e-fise.com/montpellier between 10 August 2020 and 18 August 2020 23h59 GMT.

STEP 3 : SHARE

MOBILIZE YOUR FANS
Once approved, your video will be released automatically on e-fise.com platform, and you will receive an email prompting you to share it on social media.
You’ll have to mobilize your community to collect votes for your video. Your fans will be able to vote for you on the e-fise.com/montpellier platform. Sharing instructions will be communicated to you by email once your video is validated.
your video will also be viewed by our expert panel of judges whose votes will count towards your final score.

STEP 4: FINALS

If you’re one of the lucky ones who makes it through to the finals you will need to create a brand new video. This video will only be judged by fans on the platform: https://e-fise.com/montpellier
Once your video is approved, you will once again have to mobilize your fans to vote for your video.
Instructions will be given later for all finalists as, well as for the official award ceremony.

FUNDRAISING : Fans can donate to the contest Prize Fund

E-FISE was created to offer some support to professional athletes during these difficult times without the competitions that many rely on as their main source of income.
FISE and our partners have pledged to offer a minimum of 150K Prize Money, the same as FISE Montpellier 2019. You can help make this even more by donating. The donations will go towards the prize fund for the athletes, the more donations received the more athletes that will receive prize money.
Fundraising will begin in July.

Action Sports biggest event goes online with
4 Wakeboard Categories

This year for the first time ever FISE Montpellier goes fully digital. 7 Sports, 12 Disciplines and 46 Categories will feature in this unprecedented contest.

Whether in BMX, Skateboard, Roller, Wakeboard, Parkour, Breaking or Scooter, the 2000+ athletes who usually attend the event, are instead invited to participate by submitting videos to the e-fise.com/montpellier web platform which has been specially developed for this experience.

Urban Sports communities are already familiar with video contests, however this is the first time ever that so many disciplines have been gathered together in a digital project of this scale. International federations such as UCI, World Skate, FIG and WDSF have confirmed their support and many public and private partners have already joined the E-FISE Montpellier by HONOR digital move. Legendary pro athletes have also demonstrated their enthusiasm for the contest, and excitement about the 150K prize fund available, which will be further enhanced by a fundraising campaign for pro athletes, also hosted on e-fise.com/montpellier.

The contest will run all summer with qualification phases taking place July 9th to September 4th and then finals September 9th to 20th. The first week of finals will be dedicated to Amateur, Breaking & BMX Flatland and the second week all the other pro finals will take place.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

To participate in E-FISE wakeboard by HONOR 2020 simply follow the 4 steps below!

STEP 1 : SHOOT

CHOOSE YOUR CATEGORY I PICK YOUR SPOT I SHOOT YOUR VIDEO I EDIT

-Video: Must be max 60 seconds, opening credit included. Download the opening credit HERE.

-All other rules, format and tips for creating your video HERE.

-Music: If you wish to add music to your video you have access to the Universal Music Production Catalog. Only music selected from this catalog is valid to participate in the competition. Access the catalog HERE ( ID : music@e-fise.com mdp : fise2020 )

STEP 2 : SUBMIT

SIGN UP I UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO I WAIT FOR APPROVAL
Fill out the registration form and upload your video online at
https://e-fise.com/montpellier between 10 August 2020 and 18 August 2020 23h59 GMT.

STEP 3 : SHARE

MOBILIZE YOUR FANS

Once approved, your video will be released automatically on e-fise.com platform, and you will receive an email prompting you to share it on social media.

You’ll have to mobilize your community to collect votes for your video. Your fans will be able to vote for you on the e-fise.com/montpellier platform. Sharing instructions will be communicated to you by email once your video is validated.

Your video will also be viewed by our expert panel of judges whose votes will count towards your final score.

STEP 4: FINALS

If you’re one of the lucky ones who makes it through to the finals you will need to create a brand new video. This video will only be judged by fans on the platform: https://e-fise.com/montpellier

Once your video is approved, you will once again have to mobilize your fans to vote for your video.

Instructions will be given later for all finalists as, well as for the official award ceremony.

La première base de loisir à s’être équipé d’une  Wave pool est  le téléski-nautique de Lagenfeld en Allemagne situé entre Cologne et Düsseldorf

Cette piscine de surf est la 2 éme “Unit Surf pool”  elle est aussi bien faite pour les débutants que pour les surfers experts. Grâce aux cours divisées par niveaux de difficulté, et les trois niveaux de vague différentes selon  lesquelles la difficulté de la vague augmente à chaque fois , les instructeurs peuvent garantir un entraînement efficace et assurer une expérience agréable pour tout le monde sans aucun danger ni difficulté .

The 2020 E-Fise totally digital Because of COvid19 pandemic

As a result of the social distancing measures imposed by the COVID-19 epidemic, it was impossible to maintain FISE Montpellier this year under normal conditions. Measures taken by the French government now ban gatherings of more than 5,000 people until the end of August. The E-FISE project was born, with the desire to create a real digital event, that fans and riders can enjoy all summer. Among the reasons that motivated the decision to maintain a FISE edition, there is one that has taken precedence over all: providing professional athletes who have been making FISE magic for 20 years, with support. This edition will be a way to help them in this difficult period without physical events, and to reaffirm the support of FISE and its partners, for their loyalty since 1997.

What is E-Fise ?

This is an online only event, that will take place over several weeks in the summer of 2020. Amateurs and pro athletes in each sport will compete via video entries that they will post on the e-fise.com platform. The winners will be rewarded with prize money of the same amount per discipline as the 2019 edition. Fans will be able to participate via a voting platform where they can vote for their favorite videos, giving fans the opportunity to be a part of the contest and support their heroes. Throughout the contest period we will also host a “WEBSTIVAL” featuring online activations that will continue to provide the festival vibes.

-What gonna be  the date Of the E-fise 2020

The organization is working on the final adjustments to this innovative and original project. The E-FISE Montpellier will take place over several weeks during the summer of 2020. The details will be announced on June 10. Subscribe above to receive an alert.

-Athletes, how to register, and participate ?

Athletes will be required to prepare an original and exclusive video by discipline, which they will submit to the judges and the FISE community.

Registrations will take place exclusively on the e-fise.com platform. There will be categories for the following sports: BMX, Roller ,Parkour, Breaking, Skateboard, Scooter and Wakeboard. Minimum €150,000 Prize Money.- At least the same amount per discipline as the 2019 edition.

la 24e édition du 3e plus grand évènement sportif  français gratuit français sera 100% digital

Après de longues réflexions et de constructifs échanges pour tenter de proposer une édition du FISE World Series Montpellier adaptée aux impératifs de sécurité liés au contexte de COVID-19, Hurricane Events son concepteur, en concertation avec les trois collectivités partenaires, a pris la décision d’organiser un évènement entièrement digital en 2020.

Dès le début de la crise sanitaire, Hurricane Events avait adapté le calendrier de ses évènements pour que ceux-ci profitent de conditions plus favorables cet été. Compte tenu des nouvelles mesures annoncées par le gouvernement le 28 avril, la situation impose de réviser à nouveau cette planification en gardant la priorité centrée sur la santé de l’ensemble des personnes réunies sur les festivals.

Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, la ville de Montpellier et la Région Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée se sont mobilisées aux côtés d’Hurricane Events afin de trouver des solutions. Or, aucune des pistes de réflexion n’a abouti à un format de rassemblement physique pouvant respecter les enjeux sanitaires à venir ces prochains mois.

Voilà bientôt près de 25 ans que le FISE World Series Montpellier célèbre les sports urbains en réunissant plus de 600 000 spectateurs et près de 2 000 athlètes sur les rives du Lez, chaque année en mai.Avec eux, c’est une communauté de 20 millions de personnes sur les réseaux sociaux, qui partagent elles-aussi les valeurs de ce festival et une passion vibrante pour les sports d’action.

Début 2020, Hurricane Events et le groupe Webedia ont noué un partenariat visant à poursuivre le développement de l’évènement. Leur association a permis d’imaginer et de définir les possibles transformations de la manifestation, pour aboutir à une toute nouvelle expérience.

 

Hurricane Events est heureux d’annoncer qu’en 2020,

le FISE World Series Montpellier aura bel et bien lieu, sous une forme inédite, planétaire et toujours multidisciplinaire : un contest digital. Le concept est simple et consiste, pour les sportifs hommes et femmes, pros et amateurs participant à l’évènement, d’envoyer des vidéos de leurs performances qui seront ensuite évaluées par les communautés du FISE et des juges internationaux.

Aussi, les pratiquants de ces disciplines étant culturellement très tournés vers la vidéo et rompus à toutes les méthodes de filming, la production d’images faisant partie intégrante de leur vie et de leur sport, il y a fort à gager que l’édition 2020 du FISE World Series Montpellier offrira de belles surprises.

En outre, les vainqueur(e)s seront récompensé(e)s par des prize money d’un montant identique par catégorie à ceux de l’édition 2019. Les disciplines, les modalités de participation et le calendrier seront communiqués le 20 mai 2020.

“Cette décision a bien entendu été dictée par la crise que nous traversons, ainsi que les impératifs de sécurité sanitaire vis-à-vis de toutes les parties prenantes, mais aussi les enjeux sportifs et financiers. Par conséquent, il était de notre responsabilité d’adapter le FISE Montpellier 2020. Je tiens à remercier les collectivités pour leur soutien et leur accompagnement dans la prise de cette décision compliquée. C’est un nouveau défi pour le groupe Hurricane, mais nous allons relever ce challenge pour continuer à engager les fans de sports urbains partout sur la planète. Il est à la hauteur de celui de réunir tous les ans 600 000 spectateurs au centre de Montpellier”, affirme Hervé André-Benoit, CEO du groupe Hurricane et organisateur du FISE.

Cette nouvelle formule est une occasion unique pour tous les fans de renforcer leur lien avec leurs idoles en votant pour les meilleurs talents, et une belle opportunité pour les athlètes de promouvoir leur passion. Pour Hurricane Events et ses partenaires, il s’agit aussi d’un moyen de continuer à soutenir les sportifs professionnels, dans la mesure où les rendez-vous comme le FISE World Series constituent une part de revenu non négligeable dans leur saison.

“2020 va être une année difficile pour les athlètes pros, puisque la plupart des compétitions internationales a été annulée. Ce contest digital et radicalement novateur, va leur apporter un soutien fort, juste retour pour la fidélité qu’ils nous témoignent depuis 20 ans et l’engagement à repousser sans cesse les limites de nos sports”, poursuit Hervé André- Benoit.

En attendant la prochaine édition du FISE World Series Montpellier du 19 au 23 mai 2021, la reprogrammation des étapes FISE World Series sur le deuxième semestre 2020 et celles du début de la saison 2021 seront, Hurricane Events l’espère, autant d’occasion de se réunir.
