Epic Wakeboarding in Salzburg
Experience a sightseeing tour like never before. Wakeboarding in the best city to visit in 2020: Salzburg, Austria! Wakeboard-Pro Dom Hernler explores Salzburg from a different perspective than what most people are used to. Dom Hernler takes you to places where nobody would expect someone wakeboarding, like Schloss Hellbrunn, Schloss Leopoldskron (where the classic movie Sound Of Music was filmed) or the Mirabell Gardens, turning them all into a wakeboarding park. Dom Hernler was also the first athlete ever to be towed by the panorama speed boat “Amadeus Salzburg”.
The Highlights
“
Where the idea come from ?
The idea behind ‘Sound of Wake” was to combine storytelling with wakeboarding, classical music and the many historical places in Salzburg with so much history, “explains wakeboard pro Dom Hernler about his new stroke of genius.
The challenges weren’t just about the tricks and timing, but also wakeboarding in places no one has on their radar when it comes to water sports challenges. The Salzburg sightseeing highlights Schloss Hellbrunn and Schloss Leopoldskron were of course on the program. The Mirabellgarten was also a must as a wakeboard playground. And by the way, Dom Hernler was the very first athlete who not only took a seat for a boat tour, but was also pulled for wakeboarding by the panorama speedboat “Amadeus Salzburg”.
And that is exactly what makes “Sound of Wake” so ingenious – also for Dom Hernler himself: “What made the project so special: I drove where no one suspects you can wakeboard. And we did it. That was it pretty cool. But see for yourself! “
