16 Jun Philippines Host 2016 WPWC
The World Wakeboard Association (WWA) announced today that the 2016 Wake Park World Championship will take place at the Camsur Watersports Complex (CWC) in Camarines Sur, Philippines on October 29-31. Following a five-year hiatus, the highly popular and respected venue, which is currently celebrating its 10-year anniversary, has signed on for a three-year agreement for the event.
With the anticipated return of CWC to the Wake Park World Championships, several unique initiatives are being created for both riders and attendees. Special packages will be offered for the week of the championships that will include both riding and accommodations. Competitions with enticing prices will take place at the CWC Plaza, while the venue will also hold a Halloween party on October 31 for all in attendance.
“Camsur Watersports Complex is a destination that is sought out by riders around the world and we couldn’t be happier to line up the venue for the next three years for the championship,” said Shannon Starling, WWA President. “I know this will be a favorite stop during the season as many of the riders spend their winters at CWC, enjoying its world class amenities.”
The event will also feature a unique overall competition, which includes riders representing both, a country and their home park, ultimately accumulating points to determine a winner in each category.
